Product Overview
The AMX 4 Key Switch Assembly is based on the pin and tumbler lock mechanism. The best and notable trait of the pin and tumbler mechanism is that it will open only with the correct key. The mechanism uses varying lengths of pins to avert the incorrect pin opening it. It is further aided by a detent mechanism. The lock material is a zinc alloy with stainless steel. The plate is made up of flame retardant UL 94V-0 rated glass filled polyester. A 6 inch insulated cable of 22 AWG grade will be sealed with the lock mechanism using epoxy. The epoxy sealant makes sure the bond can withstand the load for a longer period of time. A 2 position rectangular hosing connector is part of the assembly. Due to the sturdy lock mechanism is in place, it is rather a very safe and reliable key switch assembly. Its long life electrical parts support the key switch assembly functionality quite well. This key switch assembly is exclusive of the keys.
